Vote

Recommended Democratic Candidates for the November 4 Election:

The Allegheny County Democratic Committee has posted a voter guide that includes information on all endorsed Democratic candidates. Our ballot for November 4 will be a long one: please vote on both sides of your ballot. Every race is important to our community. If you don’t have time to do homework on all of these candidates, we ask that you just vote for all the Democrats on your ballot, plus vote YES for retention of the three PA Supreme Court Justices. They are all Democrats.

If you have received a mailer urging you to vote against retention of our PA Supreme Court Justices, do not be fooled. This is just an attempt by a political PAC to get rid of Justices who have served us all well, and make room for Republicans to take over the court.

Our PA Supreme Court is already term-limited. That’s why we vote whether or not to retain them at the end of their terms. We vote based on their track record, not their party affiliation–that’s why their party is not listed on the ballot. Our Justices have: ended gerrymandering in PA, secured women’s reproductive rights, ruled for fair funding of our school districts, and empowered PA citizens to fight for clean air and water. It is in our best interest to retain them.
