You may recall, one of our Carnegie committee members, Tess was appointed to fill the Council seat vacated by Stacie Riley when she became mayor. Tess would need to run this year to retain that seat, and she has decided against it.
A number of people have encouraged Rick to run for that seat so that it does not go empty. And after consultation with friends and colleagues, Rick has agreed to do that. Over the next 2 days he will need to get some signatures on a petition because the deadline is Tuesday.
Rick needs our support in this effort. If you are in Carnegie, stop by his office or home and sign it! Some might see him at the IBEW on Sunday also.
