10 Ways to Take Action!

  1. Keep your voter registration current, and vote in every election.
  2. Be informed about issues and candidates on the ballot in upcoming elections.
  3. Talk with family and friends about critical issues of concern for our community, our state,
and our nation: climate change, gun violence, poverty, racism, underfunded public schools.
  4. Attend public meetings: Carnegie Borough Council, Carlynton School Board.
  5. Pick an issue that is near and dear to your heart. Do some research, and then write a letter to the editor of your favorite newspaper.
  6. Communicate both praise and concerns to our elected officials.
  7. Volunteer to support our party and/or our candidates.
  8. Make a donation to your favorite candidate’s campaign, or Allegheny County Democratic Committee which promotes our Democratic Party values.
  9. Make participating in our democracy by voting a family value. Bring your kids right into the voting booth with you. Make sure all eligible family members are registered to vote. Then go to the polls together.
  10. Rise above partisan bickering and focus on: what we all have in common, what supports the common good. And work with family and friends to build a better future for all of us.
